Who is hiring in fashion in Turkey?

Turkey's fashion employers are a mix of global names and homegrown chains. Among the brands currently hiring on the board are international players with stores and offices across the country, such as Mango, Nike, Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger (PVH), Hugo Boss and EssilorLuxottica, recruiting for store, stockroom and head-office roles.

Why Turkey hires

Turkey's edge over Asian sourcing markets is speed: a truck leaving a factory near Istanbul reaches Germany or France in three to seven days, which is why Zara, H&M and Marks & Spencer buy directly from Turkish suppliers. The country is unusually vertically integrated: spinning, weaving, dyeing, washing, garment-making and finishing all happen domestically, often in the same industrial zone. It is also the leading denim fabric supplier to the European Union, holding more than a quarter of that market.

Turkey is the EU's third-largest clothing supplier after China and Bangladesh (İHKİB). Basic cut-make-trim work has moved to lower-cost markets, but that has pushed hiring toward the skilled, better-paid roles that stayed: design, sourcing, sustainability, denim development, e-commerce and export sales.
