Jenny Ming, former CEO and president of fashion brand Charlotte Russe, has joined the board of directors of resale platform Poshmark. Ming, who also sits on the board of Levi’s and Paper Sauce, is the seventh member to join Poshmark’s board, following the appointment of tennis player Serena Williams earlier this year.

Ming led Charlotte Russe for nine years. The brand was acquired by YM Inc. in June after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy back in February. Prior to that, Ming held leadership positions at Gap and Barneys New York, having helped to launch the brand Old Navy in 1994.

“Jenny Ming will be instrumental as we continue to diversify our social commerce platform and expand our retail and geographical footprint”, said the founder and CEO of Poshmark, Manish Chandra, in a statement. Poshmark is the second most-visited resale platform in the United States, having reached over 50 million users recently. Best known for the fashion items, the company has expanded into home decor in June.

“This company is at a pivotal moment of growth, and I look forward to working with the entire team to support and foster the company’s vibrant community at scale”, said Ming in the same statement, noting that Poshmark represents “a new era of online commerce”.
