The resale market is expected to reach 51 billion US dollars in five years. With The RealReal’s IPO on the way, traffic analytics firm SimilarWeb revealed the top 10 most-visited resale websites in the US in May 2019. eBay tops the list with over 659 million visits, followed by Poshmark with 16.4 million visits, and ThredUp at 3.98 million visits. The RealReal comes fourth, having scored 3.52 million visits in May, and Grailed.com scored the fifth place at 2.62 million visits.

Goat.com and Depop.com rank sixth and seventh, respectively. The eighth and ninth places went to 1stDibs.com (1.91 million visits) and Depop.com (1.52 million visits). They’re followed by Stadium Goods, the sneaker resale platform recently acquired by Farfetch for 250 million US dollars. According to SimilarWeb, the website received 1.34 million visits in May 2019. Vestiaire Collective, the French luxury resale platform, comes next at the tenth place and 306,000 visits. The company received 40 million euros (approximately 45 million US dollars) in an investment round last week to fuel its international expansion and launch data-driven solutions for other fashion companies.

Rebag, the consignment platform focusing on luxury handbags, will have to snatch a few more visitors to make the top 10 next time. The company, which has been investing heavily on expanding its brick and mortar retail footprint to support its e-commerce activities, ended up on 11th place on SimilarWeb’s ranking with a total of 154,000 visits in May 2019.
