In today’s round of corporate office designer musical chairs, Marc Jacobs has appointed Julien Soyez as their communications director for Europe and the Middle East. Soyez will step into his new role next Monday, March 16th, 2015. Soyez will be enjoying the chic Parisian life, as Marc Jacobs’ global communications offices are located in Europe’s fashion capital.

Soyez will be reporting to Bill Daley, senior vice president of global communications at Marc Jacobs. In his new role he will be overseeing the brand’s press, digital, advertising, and events in the region. This isn’t Soyez’s first time having a working relationship with Marc Jacobs either.

Soyez previously served as the men’s and women’s press director at Louis Vuitton when Marc Jacobs was the luxury brand’s artistic director. This will also continue Soyez’s longstanding relationship with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton as well. Soyez first came to the luxury conglomerate parent company of both Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs in 2001.

He began his career and relationship with the company at Fendi, and then moved to Louis Vuitton in 2009. He won’t be the only one in Marc Jacobs’ communications department making a move, however. Hugo Scott, the Paris based communications manager for Marc Jacobs, will be making his way to the fashion capital of America, New York City, to become Marc Jacobs’ director of special projects, where he will be reporting to Bill Daley as well.
