Tod's has a new man in town on their board of directors. Former Coty CEO Michele Scannavini. Scannavini will be leaving his executive roots behind him, and will be stepping into a non-executive, independent role for Tod's SpA, which is the company that owns luxury brands such as Tod's, Hogan, Roger Vivier, and Fay.

Yesterday at the Tod's shareholder meeting Scannavini's new role was announced, where CEO Diego Della Valle discussed the company's business results and projected growth over the next several years. Scannavini's year of experience will be much welcomed to Tod's board of directors as they work to grow as they face struggling European markets.

In addition to his years at Coty, Scannavini has also worked as Procter and Gamble, Ferrari and Maserati, and has served as CEO of Italy's Fila holding company SpA. What many of these European companies need in the face of a struggling European economy is someone who knows international business. Scannavini is that kind of man with his cornucopia of experience with global brands, and he is sure to do great things with Tod's.
