Luxury online menswear retailer Mr Porter has named Ben Palmer as its new creative director, effective early 2015.

Palmer joins from Burberry where he was responsible for overseeing all design and creative aspects of the fashion label's global events. In his new role with the luxury menswear site, he will oversee the "visual look and feel of the brand", according to WWD.

He replaces Leon St-Amour in the role, who left the retailer for Christie's auction house, and will be working on the editorial and marketing aspects of the retail site, as well as the creative direction of the videos.

Earlier this month, the online retailer hired Adam Welch as deputy editor and Lauren Luxenburg as social media editor. They will work alongside Palmer from the Net-a-Porter head office in London.
