New York - Fashionista.com has reported that the biggest rumor and perhaps the worst kept secret in fashion has been semi-confirmed. It has been a wonder who would replace Francisco Costa as creative director of Calvin Klein, and everyone was pointing to former Dior creative director Raf Simons. Rumor has it that the deal has essentially been confirmed, and that Calvin Klein is just waiting for Simons' non-compete agreement with LVMH to expire at the end of July.

While Simons' appointment hasn't been officially confirmed, Calvin Klein heavily hinted at this in a recent Sirius XM radio interview with Andy Cohen yesterday, June 8. WWD published an article stating that Klein openly discussed the vacancy left by Costa saying it had been filled. "They won't announce [who it is] publicly because it's under contract. But the whole industry knows."

An official announcement is expected before New York Fashion Week kicks off in September.

The label, which Klein sold to PVH Corp. in 2002, announced after Costa's departure that they would be consolidating all of their labels under one brand. This, obviously, would include men's wear. Italo Zucchelli, men's wear creative director, left the brand in June.

Simons is seen as the most qualified candidate for the job.
