San Francisco-based association Sustainable Apparel Coalition—which represents the apparel, footwear and textile industry in sustainability—has named Amina Razvi as its executive director, as confirmed by its board of directors.

It’s clear that Razvi has a passion for sustainable apparel and more. According to her Linkedin profile, Razvi has been working with the Coalition since 2015, first beginning as its vice president of membership and global impact before taking the role of interim executive director. Before her time at the SAC, she was working with Gap as a senior manager in sustainable innovation.

“Amina’s vision, exceptional accomplishments and leadership capabilities show that she is the leader we need to elevate the SAC into the future and drive measurable impact reductions,” said VF Corporation Global Vice President for Sustainability and Responsibility, and the SAC Board Chair Sean Cady in a statement.

Razvi is based in San Francisco and will be responsible for day-to-day leadership of the Coalition and its global operations.
