Andrew Rosen, the founder and chief executive officer of Theory will step down from his role as CEO effective April 1, as reported by WWD. Rosen will be replaced by the New York-based brand’s global chief operating officer, Dinesh Tandon. However, while Rosen is leaving his day-to-day duties as CEO, he will continue on as an advisor for the brand.

Rosen co-founded Theory in 1997 before selling a majority of the brand to Link International in 2003 and staying on as CEO. In 2009, Fast Retailing, which had partial ownership of Theory at the time, acquired the brand in full.

Outside of his role as an advisor to Theory, Rosen, an investor in several brands that are not part of the Fast Retailing group, will also be spending his time on other pursuits.
