Adidas, classic sneaker brand, launched its first reservation mobile app making it available for Los Angeles residents.
The app is available for locals for installation by iTunes or Google Play. Users must register and enable notifications in order to be notified when shoe reservations are available near their location. The idea of the app is to provide avid customers reliability and convenience when it comes to shopping with Adidas. The users are able to reserve a specific pair of shoes in their size. Once available, the app will notify the user of when the shoes are ready to pick up at a retail location near their area. The app goes into detail to cater to the user. Once reserved, the app will configure a convenient time and place for their customers to pick up and pay for their shoes.
Earlier this year, the brand also announced a growth-strategy for their brand. Since then, the brand has collaborated with Kendrick Lamar and UNDFTD. Adidas also released a new “Core Black” sneaker: mesh-inspired sneaker has the iconic three stripes that signify its brand loyalship. As part of the growth plan, infusing iPhone apps could be seen as a push to put their sneakers on the digital market. As this is the company’s first-ever reservation mobile app, it's launching in Los Angeles could determine the app’s popularity and effectiveness among Adidas customers.
Adidas, founded in 1949, has been made widely popular through its tradition shoe design. The company also manufactures clothing and accessories. Based in Germany, the company has now become internationally renown with over 1,300 concept stores worldwide.
