Los Angeles – The long-awaited new center by Italian company Candiani Denim is set to open early in 2016.
The company first disclosed information earlier this year about its plans for a new development and research denim center. Set to open in Los Angeles, the brand originally planned for a July opening as reported by WWD. However, according to Apparel News, the Italian denim brand is planning for an opening next March. The new space will be located off of Pico Boulevard and will boast 11,000 square feet. The space will serve as an office space and double as a research center for denim. The facility will also host workshops and have an available showroom.
Candiani Denim is moving to Los Angeles due to the city’s prime location. “More than 30 percent of our business is in L.A.,” global manager Alberto Candiani told Apparel News. Downtown L.A. is especially known as the largest garment manufacturer in the United States. Fellow denim manufacturers in the city include American Rag Cie, Self Edge, Dynamic Selvage Denim, and more.
