Mexico, as one of the few countries that’s letting in U.S. tourists, has become a target for Dior’s growth. Dior has opened a fourth boutique in Mexico City that will be located at El Palacio de Hierro Santa Fe. The shop-in-shop mixes Louis XIV style with more minimalist design. It will stock both men’s and women’s ready-to-wear including leather goods, shoes, and accessories.

Dior’s relationship to El Palacio de Hierro dates back to 1950 when Mexican film actress Maria Félix began shopping his designs there. In 1954, six Dior models travelled to Paris to present the brands H line there.

The new Dior store takes its architectural inspiration from the Champs-Élysées store, featuring two gray entrance arches. The other Dior stores in Mexico City are at Plaza Artz Women, Plaza Arts Men, and el Palacio de Hierro en Polanco.
