LA-based Fred Segal has opened its first East Coast retail footprint with a pop-up in the Hamptons in partnership with Isaac Boots’ Torch’D Shoppe.
The 2,700 square foot pop-up, part of Fred Segal’s 60th anniversary ‘Summer of Love’ celebration, offers a curated selection of fashion apparel, accessories, and gifts from brands and designers including Lisa Says Gah, Cotton Citizen, Boy Smells, Nina Segal and MNC Atelier.
In addition to Fred Segal’s curation, there is also a selection of Torch’D Shoppe merchandise by celebrity trainer, choreographer and Broadway dancer, Isaac Boots, as well as swimwear, jewellery, athleisure, home goods and apparel from brands including OPDNY, Jennifer Miller Jewelry, FP Movement, Peter Thomas Roth, Terez, Gold No. 8, Carol Brodie Jewelry and MZ Skin.
Jeff Lotman, owner and chief executive of Fred Segal, said in a statement: “We always get requests for an East Coast presence and we’ve loved partnering with Isaac so this seemed like a serendipitous opportunity, especially as we celebrate our 60th anniversary all summer.
“As we continue to expand across the US, we’re thrilled to bring the Los Angeles lifestyle and culture to the Hamptons for the first time. The Hamptons is known for its vibrant and lively atmosphere and our curated mini boutique is just a taste of what’s to come for the brand, not just on the East Coast, but globally.”
Michael Catalano, licensing and branding executive who created Torch’D Shoppe and Boots’ manager, added: “We are thrilled to host the first-ever Fred Segal pop up in New York. We wanted to create an experiential marketplace that not only offered unique products but would also accommodate video recording, live streaming and live selling as well as product demos, author signings and live musical performances. It’s truly a working studio and retail store and it will serve as the blueprint for similar activations in other markets.”
The Fred Segal pop-up is located within the Torch’d Shoppe at 352 Montauk Highway, Wainscott, NY 11975, until the fall.
