Morgenthal Frederics, the stylish eye wear company, has moved locations - 279 feet to be precise. The company has packed up shop and moved from it's location between 62nd and 63rd Streets over to 680 Madison Avenue, just two blocks south from its previous location. The store, a flagship located in the Carlton House building, opened today.

Glenn Reisch, president of Luxury Optical Holdings, the parent company of Morgenthal Frederics, said to WWD regarding the relocation that, "“It’s a perfect location. It’s as elevated as any shopping district in America. We want to be in a location that has the same heritage and New York roots that we do, so to be in the new Carlton House was very exciting for us.”

As it is easy to imagine, it was a very convenient moving only needing to pack up and move everything just two blocks down the street. While it is a new location, Morgenthal Frederics intends to keep much of the interior design similar to their old store: hardwood floors, orange walls, and a "bar" of glasses. The new space is an intimate 700 square feet.

The new store will also bolster the status of having the world's largest collection of horn frames with 500 one-of-a-kind pieces in stock. Select pieces from their collaboration collections will also be available, for those wanting the brand's more limited time offerings. This newly relocated store marks the brand's fourth Manhattan location, with their next stop hopefully being Washington, D.C.'s City Center neighborhood.
