Mother of Pearl has launched an online accessories store in their mission to engage with their customers via an e-commerce platform.

Currently, their e-commerce site carries footwear and handbags with plans to expand to ready-to-wear in the future. Footwear is the company's best selling category, so it made sense that they would start with accessories first. Handbags are their second best selling category.

The site will carry shoes from the resort 2016 collection, including the brand's signature leopard printed slip-ons and embellished sandals. Price points for the collection range from 280 dollars for a pair of slip-on sneakers to 360 dollars for a pair of sandals.

As for handbags, the selection includes offerings like totes and bucket bags offered in materials like shearling, with details offered like bright stripes, trims, and perforated patterns. Price points for the handbags range from 430 dollars for a crossbody bag to 865 dollars for a tote.

Beginning next month, they will begin selling the spring 2016 collection on the e-commerce site too.

In the wake of the growing e-commerce trend, companies are working harder than ever to revamp their business models. For retailers, if they aren't pouring money into building their e-commerce business, it is likely that they won't last long. Mother of Pearl is right on the curve with the growing e-commerce trend, and is poised to continue seeing their business grow.
