myGemma opens showroom on Fifth Avenue, NYC

New York City-based luxury resale label myGemma has opened a new showroom in the center of Manhattan.

Located at the label's headquarters, the new Fifth Avenue showroom is open "by appointment only" to ensure customers have a private, luxury experience. At the newly opened showroom, customers can shop the label's website offering in person, which includes authenticated designer items from brands such as Hermès, Chanel, Rolex, Cartier, Louis Vuitton, and more.

Customers can benefit from expert guidance while visiting the showroom and choose to host a shopping party with friends to earn a percentage of their spending. Customers are also invited to sell their pre-loved luxury items in the showroom or trade them in for store credit.

"Having a physical location [showroom] for customers to see the product in-person before purchasing is a natural extension of our online and livestream shopping offerings, without entering the quagmire of physical retail," said Andrew Brown, CEO of myGemma, in a statement.

In addition to opening for private client appointments, the Fifth Avenue showroom will also host trunk shows and private shopping events with the brand's retailer, concierge, and marketplace partners.

The label, known for its consumer-focused sales strategy that showcases its products on myGemma.com and over 25 additional multi-brand retailers and marketplaces, such as FarFetch, Bloomingdales, 1stDibs, and eBay, is in the midst of strategic growth. According to Brown, the showroom represents the brand's logical progression in bridging online and offline experiences to enhance the purchasing journey.

As such, the opening of the midtown showroom is part of myGemma's expansion plans, which include the opening of a 'purpose-built' downtown showroom. "In 2023, we created a dedicated live-streaming team, which has seen great success," continues Brown. Our new New York showroom takes us one step further into "omnichannel." This showroom is just a taste of the myGemma experience as we work towards launching a downtown showroom location in 2025."

myGemma's new midtown showroom is located at 535 5th Avenue, New York City, and is open by appointment only.
