The undeniable power of Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia at Oscar de la Renta is on a roll. This time they are taking their tour to Boston. Oscar de la Renta has announced that they will open a pop-up shop on Boston's Newberry Street, an area known for its high fashion retail stores.

The new 1600-square-foot store features ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes and jewelry from the resort collections, in additions to children's wear. Customers can arrange for bridal wear by appointment, and pre-fall and fall collections will be available for pre-order on site.

“With long-standing wholesale business in Back Bay and Chestnut Hill, it makes tremendous sense for us to open our own shop on Newbury Street,” said Alex Bolen, chief executive officer of Oscar de la Renta, in a statement. “We are excited to continue to tell the Oscar de la Renta story with this new pop-up store on one of the most prestigious retail blocks in the country that is a destination for both locals and tourists.”

Since the appointment of Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, who are also the creative directors of Monse, at Oscar de la Renta, the fashion house has seen a resurgence as younger customers have begun flocking to their designs. The new pop-up shop in Boston will be open until June 30. As pop-up shops become the new wave of retail, company's are aiming to get them in what look like prospective strong markets where they know they will have a good customer base. Newberry Street, which is home to other luxury brands like Burberry, Chanel and Valentino, is an ideal location for Oscar de la Renta to test the retail waters.
