Sometimes its important to go back to your roots. Roger Vivier has decided to heed this age old piece of advice and launch a heritage collection. The luxury shoe label will be launching a capsule collection made of select archived pieces designed by its Creative Director Bruno Frisoni.

The limited-edition Caprices line includes Roger Vivier classics like their signature Miss Yon pumps adorned with bird feathers, the Bug evening tube clutch with its insect ornamentations, and a pair of open-toed heels bedazzled with a rosebud made of raffia described by Frisoni as "a summer hat for your feet." The collection includes shoes, bags, and jewelry and went live for sale today, July 29, on theluxer.com. Theluxer.com is the official e-commerce partner of the Tod's group, which includes Tod's, Roger Vivier, Hogan, and Fay, and is owned by Diego Della Valle.

Julia Restoin Roitfeld has been selected as the campaign face for the capsule collection. Commenting on the brand, Roitfeld was quoted saying to WWD: "It’s typically French for me because it has this right balance between being super classic and timeless with little quirky details, and I think that’s what makes it special.” Sometimes a little inspiration from the past is the right way to go.
