Scotch & Soda has signed a lease at 416 Columbus Avenue, on the southwest corner of 80th street in Manhattan.

The Amsterdam-based retailer now becomes the latest tenant of the building, which includes other retailers like Alexis Bittar, Boutique on Columbus, Bit'z Kids from Japan, and Pure Barre. The deal is part of Scotch & Soda's plan for U.S. retail expansion which has been spearheaded by chief executive Ari Hoffman.

This past April, Scotch & Soda also signed a lease to open a store in the Seaport District. With the opening of the next two stores, this will bring the total count of the brand's New York stores to five. They currently have three other stores, including one in Flatiron, one on Bleecker Street, and one in Brooklyn.

In total, the company has more than 200 stores worldwide. The worldwide leasing team under Douglas Elliman represented the landlord and tenant in the transaction.

It has been a busy month for the company. They recently tapped Geert van Iwaarden to be their new chief financial officer. They also signed a lease for a 2310-square-foot store in the Wynwood neighborhood of Miami, Florida. What started as a Dutch fashion company in the Eighties, is now quickly becoming a global retail player.
