After dominating the luxury e-commerce sphere for streetwear, Canadian-based Ssense.com has opened their first flagship store in Montreal. Located at 418 Rue Saint Sulpice in the historic district of Old Montreal, the store was designed by renowned architecture firm David Chipperfield Architects, and was inspired by the home city of Montreal.

The space's home is a 19th century building comprised of five floors spanning 13,000 square feet. On the top floor of the store there is a café and book store, in addition to two floors of fitting rooms that Ssense customers can arrange for appointment only styling sessions via online or through the Ssense Montreal Stylist app.

First bursting onto the scene in 2003 before e-commerce was even a serious thing, Ssense has managed to become one of the go-to destinations for luxury streetwear shoppers looking to buy everything from Comme des Garçons to 3.1 Phillip Lim. Ssense also managed to reel in their target demographic by making their site a full media experience featuring music and editorials rather than just another place to shop. Fifteen years later it has paid off as they are seen as one of the biggest players in the luxury streetwear market.

Ssense's new store will officially open to the public this Friday, May 3.
