TYR Sport opens debut retail location in Garden City, New York

TYR Sport has opened its inaugural retail location in Garden City, New York. Officially opening its doors to the public on October 20, the store marks a notable achievement for the US designer and manufacturer of competitive swim and athletic wear.

Established in 1985, TYR Sport, inspired by the Norse god of warriors, is one of the leading fitness and swim brands in the US. Its debut store spans more than 2,200 square feet and offers a comprehensive range of TYR's products for men and women, including footwear, fitness apparel, and accessories.

Designed to offer shoppers an immersive experience, the store's location in Roosevelt Field, Long Island's largest shopping destination, further underlines TYR's commitment to providing its customers with the best space for "meaningful engagement" with its brand.

"The launch of our first retail location is a monumental moment for us," said Matt DiLorenzo, CEO of TYR Sport, in a statement. "Venturing into brick-and-mortar retail showcases our commitment to broaden the TYR community."

To further showcase its support of creating a community around the brand, TYR will be hosting a series of events and activations in its store throughout its grand opening month. WWE Superstar and TYR athlete Natalie Eva Marie will make an in-store appearance, allowing fans to interact, take photos, and sign autographs while shopping.

Joining the likes of Lululemon, Adidas, Travis Mathew, Oakley, and Dick's Sporting Goods in opening a store at Roosevelt Field, TYR Sport is set to continue its retail expansion with the opening of a second retail location at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California next month.
