Swiss luxury watchmaker Vacheron Constantin has opened its largest flagship store ever in the heart of new York City. Swiss luxury watchmakers are betting big on increased demand for luxury watches, especially in the U.S., after pent up demand following the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States.
The new 4500 square foot, two floor store, located on 57th Street between Park and Madison Avenue, is home to neighboring luxury watchmakers including Audemars Piguet and Jacob & Co. The store will feature machines and tools brought in from Vacheron Constantin’s Geneva headquarters to teach master classes, as well as a display for vintage pieces and ultra-high end single-edition watches.
This year, Vacheron Constantin is also celebrating its centennial by offering a reproduction of its American 1921. The brand is also getting a new North American president as Alexander Schmiedt prepares to step into the role.
