North Face recently unleashed its second installation of its locally made line The Backyard Project. The activewear and outdoor label, which has established itself as an eco-friendly alternative fashion option, is launching the project in order to help promote more products made in the U.S.

Based out of Southern California, the brand released its first installment of The Backyard Project in 2014. The project consisted of clothing that was manufactured and designed within the company’s headquarters in Alameda. This year, North Face will release a second collection expanding the project significantly. The idea is to bring local makers together in the community through the new line. “The Backyard Project is about connecting with local artisans right here in the USA,” Sumi Scott, direct of sportswear at the company, told WWD. The project includes designers who are aware of where exactly their product is coming from, including how and where the materials are attained. After learning a lot from the first installment, the brand is continuing to propel forward and improve with its second launch.

The capsule collection will include pieces ranging from hoodies, t-shirts, and more in both men’s and women’s styles. According to WWD, the company has expanded their merchandise in this upcoming collection by increasing the quantity and number of styles. However, this year’s pricing will be slightly decreased from the previous year with styles averaging around 85 dollars. T-shirts will also range in price approximating around 40 dollars. The collection is currently available through its online site and in select stores.
