At South Coast Plaza, Céline opens its newest flagship joining the ranks of Ralph Lauren, Chanel, and Balenciaga.

Known for its French luxury leather goods, Céline decided to open up a boutique modeled after its store in Paris. The newly-opened store’s interior reflects the Montaigne Avenue location. The inside decor consists of gray stone and green onyx with stucco and pebble stone finishes. The new space encompasses a simplistic, modern theme consisting of mostly off-white walls and shelves. The furniture for the store was created by Danish artist Fos. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the furniture was meant to accent the store and provide a “refined and rigorous” aspect of the label. The store will offer Céline’s pristine luxury accessories priced from 1,000 to 3,000 dollars.

The Paris-based brand was founded by Céline Vipiana in 1945. The label has been owned by LVMH Group since 1996. Brands associated with LVMH include Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs, Givenchy, Sephora, and more. Phoebe Philo has held the position of creative director since 2008. Since Philo’s creative takeover, her work has been highlighted through various awards by the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Currently, Céline has 100 stores globally. Céline merchandise is distributed through multiple specialty retailers such as Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, and more.
