Champion just arrived at a new location in Los Angeles. As the streetwear label has made a comeback recently, the brand has officially opened its first U.S. store.

The location was chosen due to the city's reputation with established brands. The label has been gaining popularity recently through digital media as well as brand presence. The new store is Champion's first official step into retail n the U.S. landing at 1,300 square feet. “We have stores in Asia and we have stores in Europe, and the brand momentum is really strong right now,” Hanesbrands Inc. president John Marsh told WWD. “We said it’s probably time to start to open some stores in the States, and we just love this specific area on La Brea."

HanesBrands currently sells its product under Champion as well as other labels including Hanes, Bali, Gear for Sports, Bonds, and more. Founded in 1901, the North Carolina-based company has currently 68,000 employees in over 40 countries. With Champion under its belt, the company can work to help bring the brand to another level. Currently, there are no official plans to open other locations but it seems Champion is keeping its options open. “We’re not saying where we’re going next, but we’re going to the markets that we think resonate well with the brand and there are a lot,” Marsh told WWD. “We’ll go where it makes sense and where we find the right opportunities.”
